The apples are in season right now and that means time to make homemade slow cooker applesauce. Recipe to come to the blog soon! With applesauce in abundance, I enjoy using it in other ways besides just eating. This bread is just the way to do that. This recipe also uses another one of my weekly food staples of homemade slow cooker greek yogurt.

Let’s get using those apples this season and make some delicious bread.

Tips for making sourdough discard applesauce yogurt bread

  • Sourdough discard seemed to work better for me in the recipe over fed sourdough.
  • Unflavored and unsweetened greek yogurt is recommended over any sweetened or just plain yogurt.
  • Any applesauce will work for this recipe. I just prefer using my homemade slow cooker applesauce.
  • This recipe has not been long fermented tested.
