DIY All-Purpose Cleaner ~ 3 Ingredients!

June 13, 2024 by Davee Kilian Leave a Comment

This DIY all purpose cleaning spray is made of only three ingredients. This natural cleaner is such a simple staple to have in the home. It can be used on multiple surfaces and it is safe to have around pets and kids!

Before I started making my own DIY cleaning spray I was one of those people that had a cleaning bottle for every area of my home. Sink spray, tub/shower cleaner, counter spray, hardwood cleaner, etc. My cleaning cupboard was full of so many chemical filled bottles, that half the time, did not even work!

I’ve been making this DIY cleaning spray for over three years now, and I am so happy I do. For one, it takes only three ingredients:

purified water

white distilled vinegar

lemon essential oil – or another oil that suites your cleaning purposes or smell preferance:)

DIY cleaning spray also saves some money. Vinegar is relatively cheap, water is free and my essential oils is a long term investment. Saving money and using a natural way to clean are big reasons I switched to making this cleaner.

Supplies needed for DIY all purpose cleaning spray

16 oz spray bottle – I prefer to use glass. Mine is a Norwex glass bottle, however I like these amber glass bottles as well.

1 cup liquid measuring cup

How to make DIY Cleaning Spray

Gather your supplies and ingredients – water, white vinegar, essential oil, spray bottle and liquid measuring cup.

Measure out the vinegar and pour into the spray bottle. Do the same with the water. Add 15-20 drops of the essential oil to the spray bottle. Shake together and use!

That is it! I store my cleaner in my cleaning basket. Since I use it for so many different purposes it really only lasts a couple weeks in my home.

If you enjoy making this spray, then come back and give this post 5 stars!
