Simple Spring Home Decor

March 27, 2025 by Davee Kilian Leave a Comment

A simple Spring home is a beautiful way to decorate for the season. Keeping the decor minimal yet lovely is how I like to approach my spring home decor.

Spring is here! It is such a beautiful season here in the upper midwest. We get to enjoy longer daylight hours, warmer temperatures, life growing outside and much more time outdoors. There is always so much change happening outside that I like to bring some of that indoors with my Spring home decor. Let me share about the home indoors and how I have decorated for the Spring season.

Entry

My simple Spring home decor starts very minimally in the front entry. Our little porch is about 4×4 in size, so the decorations need to be kept very simple.

You can watch my house tour to see all the details and features of our small home for Spring!

A basket on a hook with a little faux greenery is all that is needed to grace the coat rack. Practical decor of rain boots on the rug is always a true sign of Spring as well.

The corner crock holds some eucalyptus stems, which is in a few other spots in my home, next to our welcome sign. Like I said, simple.

Living Space

Our living space has several Spring decor touches that are very simple and vintage. The couch has some new added pillow covers that bring a vintage floral vibe to the space. They also add a little pop of color to my usual neutral color palette.

Several crocks and baskets contain faux white tulips that I absolutely love! These tulips are a simple way to say, Spring, without being to overbearing. A few faux babies breath can be found in other vintage crocks or pitchers. Using simple floral touches can add the sense of life to any space.

A new, yet used piece that I added to my simple Spring home decor is a frame with pressed flowers. It adds a little bit of color to my built-ins and is still lovely for my home style.

Piano area

Adding some changes in our piano corner for Spring is always fun. The top of the piano stays minimal with tulips in a crock and some of that eucalyptus I mentioned earlier. On the wall are my three baskets that I keep pretty basic with just a few additions. It’s a theme in my living space to repeat Spring touches as I feel it makes the area more cohesive – flowers, an added pastel colored painting or piece of art, baskets and crocks.

Kitchen

The Spring decor really makes my kitchen so welcoming and lovely for the season. I love the added touches of fresh cut tulips and alstroemeria purchased from Walmart. Some backyard beauty was brought in with some fresh budding branches. Easy decor can be added just with bringing in the outdoors or with fresh flowers and plants.

Similar to the living space, the kitchen shelves carry on the white tulip theme, vintage pitchers and a small art print.

Some fresh muffins on a platter and a glowing candle make for a good Spring-time look, but also a great snack!

My favorite area in our eat-in-kitchen is our coffee station. The little bits of decor that can be added on the accordian rack by the vintage bread cabinet is a lovely thing. This area just brings me such joy not only because of the coffee, but because of the yellow tulips and the vintage pieces all around. Making a space lovely with simple touches can bring so much happiness!

Well friends, that about does it for my simple Spring decor in my small home. The best way to decorate a space is with pieces that are enjoyable and lovely, but are also budget friendly. My Affordable Spring Decor Tips and Ideas post will help out in that area.

Happy Spring and enjoy the beauty that this season brings!

Love,

Davee
