Encouraging Scripture Verses

Encouraging scripture is so important to learn and meditate on. This will give you some encouraging scripture to keep easily accessible, memorize and read through for different occasions in life.

These verses do not have to just fit into the theme they are categorized under. I hope you find strength and encouragement in what scripture you read.

Love ~ Encouraging Scripture

Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD. ~ Leviticus 19:18

Love the Lord your God and keep his requirements, his decrees, his laws and his commands always. ~ Deuteronomy 11:1

Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. ~ Psalm 26:3

And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. ~ Romans 5:5

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. ~ 1 Corinthians 13:4

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. ~ Galatians 5:22-23

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. ~ Ephesians 4:2

Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart. ~ 1 Peter 1:22

 But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him. ~ 1 John 2:5

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ~ Romans 5:8

And walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. ~ Ephesians 5:2

The entire law is summed up in a simgle command: “Love your neighbor as yourself”. ~ Galatians 5:14

Motherhood

Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God. ~ Titus 2:4-5

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. ~ Proverbs 31:25

She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. ~ Proverbs 31:26

I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him.  So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord.” And he worshiped the Lord there. ~ 1 Samuel 1:27-28

Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. ~ Psalm 127:3

As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem. ~ Isaiah 66:13

Homemaking ~ Encouraging Scripture

The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down. ~ Proverbs 14:1

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. ~ Colossians 3:23

She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. ~ Proverbs 31:27-28

Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. ~ 1 Peter 4:9

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. ~ James 1:5

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom. ~ Ecclesiastes 9:10

 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.  But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. ~ James 3:13-14
